With clean and pure lines inspired by minimalism, the design is modern and refined, and it draws on consciously considered materials to evoke elegance in its simplicity.
For the team at The Melgrano, the design of the facade was just as important as the architecture of the entire building. In fact, they considered the elements of the facade the language of the architecture.
The intent was to ensure The Melgrano stood out in terms of its elegance but also lived harmoniously within its surroundings. To achieve this, they incorporated colours and tones most common to Dubai’s natural environment, and then to set it apart, they drew on rich materials such as travertine, bronze, and wood inspired finishing which are typically only used for the most luxurious villas.
The approach to the façade has been continued on into the internal areas. The use of lime-wash, clay, timber and leathered stone give the interiors the natural feel of the outside environment.
The understated purity and natural elements in the design ensure a timeless look and feel for the Melgrano.
